Productivity and Vocational Training Department (PVTD)
The (PVTD) is functioning under the umbrella of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Egypt. It is represented in most major cities and areas of industrial activities all over Egypt.
PVTD has the vision to become a respected and acknowledged leading partner in technical industrial training and consultancy and productivity enhancement in the MENA region due to its advanced technological and technical position. It is operating towards accomplishment of the mission of providing the labor market with qualified technical workers who will contribute to the international competitiveness of the Egyptian industry.
PVTD is presently operating 42 training centers all over Egypt and is in charge of other 24 training centers/stations inside companies. The training is organized in an adjusted Dual System and lasts generally three years. More than 1.800 teachers and trainers are responsible for over 25.000 trainees. Another 1,700 staff members are in charge of the development, administration and organization of training.
In addition to the regular training, PVTD operates the Staff Training Institute (STI) and the Technical Competency Center (TCC) where continuing and upgrading training is offered for staff of PVTD and for other national and international private and public organizations and institutions. In the unique Amerya Experimental Center, new training and teaching staff have their internship and newly developed curricula and training material are tested before introduction in regular training. In the Continuing Education and Consultancy Department, advisory and consultancy services as well as management training are offered for public and private clients. Selected training centers offer and carry out technical upgrading skills training for Egyptian enterprises and organizations.
Strong bonds of cooperation with Germany, Japan, Korea and international organizations are characterizing the acceptance of PVTD across borders.
